"An organization's ability to learn, and translate that learning into action rapidly, is the ultimate competitive advantage" - Jack Welch.

Connecticut Heating & Cooling Contractors Association was founded in 1972. CHCC is an independent non-profit trade association with membership open to all state licensed (merit shop) heating, refrigeration and air-conditioning contractors, sheetmetal contractors and plumbers that employ licensed mechanics according to state law. It is also open to associate members representing manufacturers, wholesale suppliers, dealers, and other HVAC related firms and affiliate members including technical school instructors and building officials.

Joining CHCC is an investment in your own business. Benjamin Franklin once stated that an investment in knowledge pays the best interest. Our annual contractor dues include benefits for the entire compan). All employees will have access to member pricing on events, educational programs, discounted purchasing programs  (401(k) access), and so much more.

Education: CHCC offers a variety of educational opportunities from technical to business trainings. Can’t make a session or meeting, do you need a webinar? We can offer that too. Educational resources alone can easily pay for your membership. Educational topics can include trends, best practices, new technologies, continuing education, code info, licensing, financials, tax reform, etc. If there is something you are looking for, just ask and we will work to put it together.

Advocacy: Perhaps one of the most overlooked benefits of a trade association is the advocacy. When you become a member, you have an organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the needs of your industry, as the fortunes of your industry rise, so does your business opportunity. Having a dedicated team to lobby and advocate on your behalf is powerful. An association membership is a lot less expensive than hiring a lobbyist yourself.

Networking: Our Favorite (and as the largest HVAC trade association in Connecticut - we do it well), networking might seem obvious, but associations offer the chance to connect with others in your industry. You can learn from others and can even create alliances or partnerships. Dinner meetings, CHCC Connects, After Hours, social events, our HVAC Golf Classic draw contractors from around the state, a great opportunity to learn from others, ask questions, expand the reach of your business. The most successful entrepreneurs are not afraid to network with competitors. At CHCC, we offer a bridge to communicate with competitors in a collaborative environment.

CHCC contractors prefer to do business with manufacturers, suppliers and service companies who share their commitment to the industry.

The association offers several opportunities for manufacturers, suppliers and other industry related firms to increase their involvement in the industry and reach key decision makers with information and promotional materials on products and services. We also provide individual opportunities for sponsorship throughout the year to maximize your company's visibility.
