CHCC has invited Jack Guerrera of the Connecticut Department of Labor to discuss the Apprenticeship Program and provide details on how to register apprentices and navigate through the system; including ratio relief, completions, terminations and many other regs and procedures. Also present at this meeting will be Ray Mencio, Consultant for the CTHSS Construction Technologies and several HVAC Department Heads and Instructors. During the course of this meeting there will be details of NOCTI Testing and the need for exam evaluators. NOCTI Testing promises significant benefit to educators, students and industry employers. NOCTI provides comparison score reports, so that teachers can use data to improve their own delivery of the curriculum. For employers, the combination of pre-tests and post-tests that are industry-validated gives them assurance that certified students have mastered core competencies in their field. Get involved; support the CT Technical High School System and the future of the Industry – Volunteer for NOCTI Testing! In order to see change you need to get involved!
Now is a great time to bring a potential new member. If you bring a new member to the meeting and they join that night, both yours and the member ’s dinner will be FREE!
