Since 1978, Romco Contractors has provided quality design and fabrication as well as installation and service of industrial-process ventilation and air-pollution control systems. When you choose Romco, you get an experienced team that can handle anything from design to installation of a variety of systems and equipment. Romco also offers sheetmetal fabrication, structural steel framework, fabricated plastics, and general industrial sheetmetal work.

Romco specializes in energy conservation. We can help analyze, project savings and provide the documentation necessary for utility rebates. We design and install dust collection systems and process ventilation systems. Romco provides clean room design and installation. We design and install plating and stripping exhaust systems. Romco provides HVAC design and installation. We can review your exhaust system's performance and recommend and implement upgrades. We design and install custom paint booths.  Romco provides steam utilization and conservation expertise.

We offer a free walk through of your plant to identify potential energy conservation oppertunities. This will be completed by a Professional Engineer. We do not look at the "traditional items" such as lighting. We focus on process issues. For example, are your paint booths exhausting excessive air? Are your hoods properly designed? Isyour steam system efficient? Are your liquid tanks properly heated? Are your exhaust systems efficient?

Some of our accomplishments include:

- Reducing the oil consumption at a major New England manufacturing facility from 143,000 barrels of oil per year to 52,000 barrels per year.

- Reducing plating facilitie's energy operating costs by $400,000 per year.

- Reducing clean room energy costs by 67%.

- Bringing plating line and stripping line air quality into compliance with EPA standards while reducing energy consumption.

- We have been very successful in obtaining rebates from the utility companies to subsidize conservation projects. Typical subsidies have ranged from 25% to 100% of the project cost.
