Beginning with 5 employees, it operated near downtown New Haven. In 1966, a new physical plant was constructed at the corner of Grand and East Streets in New Haven, CT. By 1977, Jack's son, David, began a second full time location on Cherry Street in Waterbury, CT. Significant expansion continued over the years and Bender Plumbing Supply now has locations in Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, and Waterbury with a workforce of over 100 employees. Full commercial, industrial and HVAC lines are now featured with luxury Kohler registered showrooms for residential and commercial customers.
